Here I Am

Yesterday in the early evening I lost my access to the internet. The power cord on Jeff’s computer died (again). Arggg! How was I supposed to survive this with my most readily available source of communication ripped from me. Well a little later I got a visitor, and when I told her of my loss she said that she thought she had a power cord that would work. Sure enough this morning she reappeared with a power cord, so I am VERY happy to be back on line.

I have had a lot of visitors this morning, one of whom was Brian who is here with Amber. She’s working on getting her baby girl out while I’m working on keeping mine in.

My doctor came to see me today, and while I didn’t really learn anything new, she did remind me that baby Gaby weighs 1 lb., and at 23 weeks that’s a good thing. I am lying here right now on the monitors, one is checking my contractions, and the other is listening to the baby’s heartbeat. It sounds great, and I feel so close to my little girl right now. She’s pretty feisty. I think she’s doing martial arts in there right now. She’s kicking the heck out of the monitor.

I have gotten a lot of visitors, and I really appreciate it. I am also extremely grateful to all of you who are looking after Jeff and my other princess Rachel. Rachel came to see me this morning, and she is looking good, so thank you very much.

By the way, my toenails are fine.

  1. Noelle, it makes me cry to hear you talk about that sweet baby Gabby. It’s amazing what fighters these little ones are. The fiestier the better! your tonails are fine, but are they pretty and pink? I thought so!

  2. Noelle, you are so strong and such a fighter! I love reading your posts, you are so positive even through such a hard situation. I have had the flu and now I’m heading to Utah, hence the no visits, but I am thinking about you all the time!

  3. In many ways, I feel like we are hospital buddies! You may thing your daily posts are boring, but I really enjoy reading them to find out how you are doing. I also decided that for post titles, I was going to use song, movie, tv show or book titles and find a way to fit them to the post. Just a little game to keep me entertained.

  4. Feistiness runs in the family–it’s a good way to be! I wish I could come see you, but miles and a place to stay might be an obstacle. I love you and your little baby and Rachel (and I like Jeff). Take care and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
