Rachel Just Keep Growing

I have decided that Rachel has outgrown her baby bath tub, and has graduated into the regular bath tub. I think Rachel agrees with me. She loves covering every square inch of if.

A week ago I found a little slide at a yard sale. It has a connection to attach a hose to it, so we can make our very own water slide. I finally got around to doing that today. She had just finished lunch after waking up from her morning nap, and had a fresh diaper, so I figured that there could be no harm in just taking off her diaper downstairs and slip on a swimming diaper. Foolish me. When will I ever learn? Seriously, she had not had her diaper on for more than 30 minutes, and her post-nap diaper was poopy (but not that bad). So I took off her diaper and there is more poop! So I carried her upstairs in all of her naked glory, with her fanny in the air a safe distance from me so I could clean her up again.

But we had a lot of fun on the water slide.

While I was outside I thought I would get a few more pictures of the garden.

My tomato crop has been a little disappointing. I haven’t had nearly as many this year as I did last year. I have a plan for next year, though, so don’t worry too much about me.

My favorite part about my garden is the anticipation of cantaloupe. Here is my first one this year. It is the size of a football shaped golf ball.

I have a bunch of cucumbers.

And one green pepper. For as much as I like green peppers, one is enough.

If you did not get the chance to see how beautiful Rachel was with her little dress with the matching headscarf she wore to church yesterday, here she is.

  1. Here’s our bath-time tradition – every time my kids take a bath they get a Popsicle in the tub. Much cleaner than eating one outside of the tub and you get bath-time and dessert over in one. Then off to bed. They love taking baths too! Rachel looks so adorable in that dress, by the way.

  2. I love that slide! I’ll have to see if I can find one for my kids? Although one of my little daredevils would probably be sliding down on her feet in no time, so on second thought, I will just enjoy imagining Rachel using it. What a cutie!

  3. Rachel is so cute, I love your garden as well….I haven’t had good luck with my tomatoes either….there are gobs of them, they just aren’t ripening. I love the little slide, looks like she had a super time!

  4. What a great idea with the slide!

You know she pooped just because she knew you wouldn’t think she had to. Kids learn very early…

Your garden looks DELICIOUS! Maybe you can come to Texas and help me get one going.
